Around the world including the Philippines there is an increase in the demand for reforestation. This is because of the depletion of the forests and woodlands that has affected not only the animals that is living in the area but also the people. Reforestation is about the rebuilding of forests and woodlands that has been severely destroyed. It is the restoration of the areas that once have lush greeneries. There are a lot of benefits that it can offer when the recreation is successful. It can help fight global warming, give shelter to endangered species, and can even supply people's every day needs which include furniture, paper, houses, and many more.

There are a lot of things to be done when it comes to this type of endeavor. This includes collecting seedlings that are native in the area to make sure that there is a natural regeneration of the area. It is also important to make sure when planting some additional trees which is not native in the area that they are compatible with the climate and the type of soil. The importance of having multiple species of trees is considered to make sure that the needs of other species that will live and grow in the area are met.

Reforestation is carefully planned out to avoid any problems in the future or even while the project is ongoing. Spacing on plants and trees should be accurate so that it will not overlap each other while they grow. It may cover other plants which will cause it to die eventually. It is also considered to use native species of plants and tress which is very much beneficial because it will surely survive. This helps the restoration of the soil and rejuvenation of local flora and fauna.

The forest provides us with many products and important services. It stops soil erosion, refreshes the air, and protects us from typhoons and other calamities. Trees give off oxygen that is essential for human existence and they, in turn, capture the carbon dioxide that humans and animals exhale. Trees also help in containing water in its roots. They also greatly help in the reduction of the amount of pollutants in the air. They have always played an important part in people's lives, from providing shade and maintaining the beauty of the place to fruits and flowers.

We put in our hearts and mind that forest is the home of a lot of animals and where you will find various types of plants. There is no other way to restore nature but through reforestation. It is important to educate people about the important of the forest.
