Why The Catholic Teaching On Social Justice Is Important

By Carlene Tibbetts

Life depends on the ideologies you believe in. Some people believe in socialism while others are capitalists. The catholic teaching on social justice are all aimed at shaping the way the society lives and that is why many institutions that practice the faith are run in a particular manner with the aim of instilling certain doctrines in the members involved.

A number of social justice leaders under the catholic doctrine also play a very important role in mentoring the society towards certain objectives. A slow method of instilling knowledge on the youth always brings forth good results because shaping the way a person thinks is done gradually over many years and not at once.

Because of the above reasons, many of the social justice consulting experts contend that you need to introduce such teachings at an early stage in life. That way, the students grow gradually and the doctrines instilled take root making it very hard to change their thinking at a latter date in life. This informs the incorporating of schools into the programs.

On the same note, the lessons taught also aim at eradicating any short comings that you may have by either counseling you rightly or just by giving important advise that can help you make some good decisions. In order to effectively teach someone the right social lessons, you also have to make sure they are formerly educated as this will expand their ability to see things more clearly and to develop intellectually.

It is advisable not to wage war against each other but to dialogue and understand each other and the plights that your opponents have to endure. In many cases where the people in authority have decided to go to war, many people get hurt including children and this is a sad situation for anyone to be in regardless of whether you are at war or not.

That in turn makes the society deprived of the important mentoring that the young ones deserve in order to become good citizens in life. It is in this spirit that the churches strives to establish many schools especially within the church compounds and managed by the same churches so that the curriculum can run concurrently.

With the full knowledge that it takes a well informed person to lead a good spiritual life in society, the catholic teaching on social justice is also accompanied by other lessons in professional disciplines that are aimed at making it easier for the students to become empowered in society. This is a good way of grooming independent persons in society.
