Explanation Of The Bible Scriptures To Christians

By Elsa Noel

It will be an understatement to claim that the Bible is the most perfect and significant book. The use of it in worship, fellowship and even Bible study groups can show just how many rely on the nourishment from the scriptures for solace in their everyday lives. Many assume that explanation of the Bible scriptures is hard but that is actually not the case.

There are many people today who can boldly claim to know the whole Bible and have it all figured out. This may not necessarily mean that they do understand it to a point that they can relay the teachings to someone else. Many can affirm that continuous reading of the scripture can provide one with different interpretations.

Nowadays we do live in troubling times where Christianity is on a path of recession. The love of God is being substituted more by the desire for pleasures and observation of outward formalities. Many Christians are learning from guest speakers, attending seminars, holding Bible studies, teleconferencing, C. D ministries, radio programs and television shows.

The scriptures sometimes do avail for us their own interpretations for us to directly benefit without undergoing through much trouble. The earlier Bible was drafted in languages that are presently considered dead and thus it is only by the grace of God that they were translated and can now be accessed by all cultures. Unless properly interpreted the message in the scripture will remain nothing but plain words.

The holy book scripture are a strong weapon against temptation and trials in life. In the New Testament particularly in the book of Mathew 4, Jesus when confronted by temptation used scripture from the book of Deuteronomy to fight it off. This was an ideal defense against Satan temptations.

Even some of the conservative clergy will pick a random quote from the Old Testament and spurn up a sermon with very little connection or none at all. The pastoral teachings are politically tailored to mirror on success prone interpretations of particular scripture. They aim to make the Bible look more flexible to the modern day world. Manipulation of scripture is a widely practiced in mainstream debates and organizations.

When we take a look at the New Testament especially the epistles, the things that Paul wrote were difficult to understand by simple readers. His words require interpretation that is careful. Back in the Old Testament prominent personalities such as Ezra and Nehemiah organized a huge occasion dwelling on the understanding of the scripture in society back then.

The Holly spirit provides guidance on exactly how the Bible scriptures can be understood. In the book of Nehemiah 8:8, there is a reference to all students to ensure that they understand while reading and get the sense of what the scripture is trying to relay. We should refrain from identifying what is popular and politically correct in the scripture and can solicit a wide following of popularity among carnal Christians and general unbelievers in society. Instead a clear understanding and application of this teaching in scriptures in life will make one more fruitful.
