Student Feedback: California State University San Bernardino

By Philip James

When one of your schools is listed in The Princeton College review, then it's definitely worth visiting at. California State University - San Bernardino is one of the best among all universities that you can find in the west coast. It has never dropped out of the top 100 list of most excellent educational institutions in America mostly because of how they are very dedicated to their students.

We have mostly the California State system to thank for this. This university employs a no-nonsense approach to learning. You don't get overburdened with theories, with the history and just plain old boring lectures. It doesn't entice you with flashy school pride nor overly-hype achievements. Don't get me wrong, CSUSB definitely has cabinets full of plaques and trophies old and new but they are very refined. They don't entice students to come here because of a very good football team or that famous actors attend your graduation. No, they don't need to do that. They already have a stellar curriculum to do that job.

For an institution that keeps a very high degree of academic standard, it is amazing to mention that it is not too costly. It is not that expensive to stay there either. If you would like to within university grounds, their dormitories are extremely clean and brand new and the meals there are even light on your wallet. Several food trucks roll right along every lunch break so you're able to even have a variety of meals every day. You may also take advantage of their school funding programs wherein almost 80% of the student population is benefitting from.

Whether or not through the state funding or even from community participation projects, you'd certainly never have to worry! The faculty in CSUSB is likewise comparable to the professors that you could find coming from other notable universities. I had a wonderful time here primarily due to these people. They made it a point to involve everyone in the discussion, it was never monotonous. All of us ended up being subjected to various environments and circumstance to help prep us with our occupations. The lessons are usually relatively small so the professors are extremely caring and even available for debate inside and outside of class. Whatever concerns you have, they will definitely hear you out.

Beyond the classes and workshops, the university offers a lot of fun for the students. They invite comedians like Aziz Ansari and other musicians to do shows there, which we all get discounted tickets. Clubs and organizations also give us the opportunity to tap into our other hobbies and past times. The LGBT center has their drag queen event that happens every year. I admit, I had a lot of fun while I was there.
