Actually, three years from the time the child was born is a period that plays an important role in the life of a child. The main reason is that brain development and maturity starts at this age. The kid also learns how to speak at this age. Therefore speech and language skills for children will develop properly when the child will be exposed to sight, sound and consistent exposure to speech and language from other people. If a child will pass this stage without getting proper exposure to the language, learning will become a problem.

The child will pass various milestones and stages when developing the language or speech. The baby will have its first communication made through crying. The baby will learn that crying brings comfort, food, and companion. The infants will also be able to recognize certain sounds and voices more so the voices of their primary or immediate caretakers and those of their mothers.

However, the development of communication skills usually varies in children. Kids usually follow a natural timetable or progression to master languages. Through milestone checklist, health professionals and doctors can determine whether a child is progressing well or require extra help. The delay in communication kids may arise due to hearing loss or a disorder.

If the child has a hearing impairment, disorder or loss, he might have difficulty in developing the communication skills. On the other hand, certain activities are necessary if you want to facilitate easy learning and communication ability to your kid.

You need to make time for your child. Although the more time you sit with your child the better, you need to have even if it is a few minutes for your child each day. You need to have a quite time with your kid away from any distraction. You can as well talk or look at pictures in a book.

You also need to have some time specifically made for experience with the kid. This is because, the way you spend more time with the kid, the more the child is going to benefit. You are supposed to have a schedule that allows you to spend some minutes or some time with your child. Having undistracted experiences such as picture book study will help in making sure that the baby benefits.

Going through a picture book will also help the kid as visual and speech are combined. TVs and other distractors like pacifier and dummy should be removed. As a matter of fact, TVs adds no value to the learning process of a child. In fact, they contribute to slow learning as well as poor attention skills of the kid. Children exposed to TVs in their early ages will have concentration and learning problems even at school.

This will mean that the foundation of the child will have a problem. You are also required to make comments in regard to the activities that the baby does when both of you are playing. This helps the baby in learning new vocabularies. You are also required to allow the child to lead the game as it improves the self-confidence of the baby.
