A Collection Agency Employed by CM Punk

By Rob Sutter

In professional wrestling, you are supposed to dislike the heels. This is a common theme in professional wrestling and you want to see babyfaces, the heroes to the heels, reign justice down upon them. These days, I feel like I'm rooting for the bad guys more and perhaps no better example can personify this than CM Punk. The current WWE Champion is one that has definitely come under a lot of stress and I am sure that a collections agency can assist him in shaking said stress off.

When it comes to the slew of wrestlers in the WWE today, CM Punk should be one that I have only negative feelings toward. He made it a point to not only attack the Rock but retain his WWE Championship through means that could best be described as immoral. His time as champion for over a year is a testament to his ability. However, there are reasons as to why I show support towards a wrestler that fans are expected to dislike and they've made me a fan of him yet.

Simply put, Punk is a truth teller and there is no better of a recent example than this past Monday Night RAW which hosted the Slammy Awards. John Cena had won the Superstar of the Year award, which raised the ire of Punk. The champion went on a rant, saying how he had continually won his matches and held a title while Cena lost a good majority of his pay-per-view matches during 2012. Based on this, wouldn't it go without saying that Punk was cheated out of the award?

Punk spoke ill about the company before but it was not without reason, since there are many problems one can point out with it. Punk could make an interesting case as a victim and, as a result, hiring on the services of a collections agency wouldn't be too out of the ordinary. There have been plenty of wrongdoings against him, which can only help his case moving forward. Rapid Recovery, amongst other reputable agencies, can help in collecting the amount he necessitates.

It's strange to think that I watch a problem where the villains act more heroic than the ones I'm supposed to identify with. Sadly, it seems like the supposed good guys are the ones that have been acting out in vile ways yet the fans continued to cheer for them. Punk's different in that he doesn't have to play to either side but rather stay on his own ground. If he can continue to do that and be the renegade that he has portrayed him as, then perhaps his fight against the company will bear results.
