Top Five Conservative Catholic Blogs Worth The Time

The call for liberalism has not drowned conservative voices within the Catholic Church. This voice of restrain exists online through conservative Catholic blogs. Information posted on these platforms defends the traditional stand on issues, dogma and rites within the Vatican based church. Most writers are religious though there are a few members of the laity. They handle a host of issues from a traditional perspective.

Offerimus Tibi Domine- the blog is updated by Fr. Henry Simon whose stand is that faithful must not be directly involved in the performance of the liturgy for it to be inclusive. There are many avenues of contributing to the Paschal Mystery. If everyone plays his or her role effectively, the liturgy will be fulfilling and colorful.

Fr. Henry once used the Offerimus Tibi Domine platform to show the hand of God in preventing Martini from ascending to papacy. In his opinion, John Paul II lived long enough to allow Martini to get old and be overtaken by time. This paved way for Benedict VI to take over. This remains a controversial post to-date.

Sense of the Sacred- Fr. Jojo established the blog with the aim of assisting faithful to understand the element of sacred life, space and time. In his blog, he explains why and how symbols assist Catholics in their journey of faith. A similar approach is adapted when addressing emerging social issues.

Sense of the Sacred has been used on several occasions to defend bishops and cardinals in different parts of the world. Fr. Jojo says that the world fails to understand these shepherds because they use the voice of God which is different from that of men. Movement towards a liberal world is staining humanity.

The Hermeneutic of Continuity- Fr. Tim Finigan is a visiting lector on Sacramental Theology at St. Johns Seminary in Wonersh. Ordained in 1984, he lectures in other seminaries on Dogmas. This explains his conservative approach to faith.

In a comment about the tomato debate in Pakistan, The Hermeneutic of Continuity termed the scenario as a moment to demonstrate faith. He urged Christians in that area to consider it a moment of pride. The fact that tomatoes were associated with Christianity should make them proud.

Meeting Christ in the Liturgy- Fr. Kelvin is an avid writer, an attribute that could have motivated him to start this blog. With over a million followers over the ten years of existence, it remains top among related blogs. Fr. Kelvin is a former chaplain with the US Navy with a Masters of Art in Sacred Theology. He was once stationed in Iraq.

Fr. Kelvin focuses mainly on daily readings and how they can shed light to the prevailing global situations. In a recent article, he answers Cardinal Dolan on Pro Life issues. According to Fr. Kelvin, the right to life remains with God regardless of the situation. No issue that is outside the body of a woman should dictate the right to life.

Fr. Blakes Blog- the author has taken an articulate and brave stand on issues. He researches thoroughly in order to defend traditional Catholic dogmas and rites. On dissenting voices, Fr. Blake insists that they must not be disregarded but the value of their contribution remains zero in shaping the future of the church.
